Georgene Bihlman devoted herself to skiing both as a competitor and teacher for over 50 years. Overcoming crippling injuries and near fatal illnesses she rose to the top as a masters racer. She won over 800 trophies and awards from all parts of the world.

She was a full time teacher at Bakersfield College throughout her career and in 1998 was awarded the NASJA Outstanding Competitors Award, an honor she shares with many of America's top skiers. She was the oldest person to receive the award. For many years from its inception in 1980 she was named to the USSA's National Masters Team.
