Donna Weinbrecht

Donna Weinbrecht had a long and successful14 year career as a member of the U.S. Freestyle Ski Team during which she was an Olympic champion, won five World Cup championship titles, with 46 World Cup wins and claimed seven U.S. national titles.

Largely self-taught in moguls skiing and with a focus on the standards set by the male skiers she was the force in women's moguls from 1990 to 1996.  She became a member of the U.S. Ski Team in 1988 and won her first national title that year.  She was runner up in the World Cup in 1989.  She was the first woman and first American to be an Olympic Champion in freestyle with her gold medal win in 1992.  She was the World Champion in 1991 and won two World Championship silver  medals (1989 and 1997).  Her seven national championship wins were in 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991,1992, 1994 and 1996.  She missed the entire 1993 season due to injury.
