U.S. NATIONAL SKI & SNOWBOARD HALL OF FAME TO HOST ANNUAL CHARITY GOLF OUTING AT WHITEFACE CLUB AND RESORT

Class of 2024 Announcement Party to Follow Golf Outing

ISHPEMING, MI – The U.S. National Ski & Snowboard Hall of Fame and Museum (The Hall of Fame) is the sole national hall of fame and museum that recognizes the athletes and visionaries that have significantly enriched the global sports of skiing and snowboarding in the United States. Annually, the National Hall of Fame inducts its latest class of selected and voted-upon inductees into the Hall of Fame during a weeklong Snowsport History Celebration that changes locations around the country each year and ends with the induction ceremony of the newest class of legends. This year’s Inductees will join the over 475 past honored members of athletes and sport builders that have been enshrined since the Hall of Fame’s inception in 1956.

Annually, the Hall of Fame hosts an annual charity golf outing in the same area as the upcoming induction event to get the community involved, build local relationships, and raise money for the Hall of Fame and the forthcoming Snowsport History Celebration & Induction Ceremony.

The Whiteface Club and Resort will host this year’s golf outing and will be supported by ROOST and the New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority. The golf outing features a shotgun start at 9 AM and a 4-person scramble format that will include breakfast and lunch for those participating. There will be awards, prizes, giveaways, and a decorated silent auction. Teams start at $800, with all proceeds benefiting the Hall of Fame, a 501(c)(3), and individuals are also welcome to sign up for $200 a person. Sponsorship opportunities are available, if interested, please visit the link at the bottom of the page.

For those not interested in golf, the dinner ticket includes a day out at Lake Placid’s Legacy Sites. Those interested in this option will also meet at the golf course in the morning and then leave together on a bus to visit Whiteface, the Olympic Jumping Complex, the Olympic Center, and beautiful Mt. Van Hoevenberg and return in time for the announcement party and dinner.

After golf or the Legacy Sites visit, the Hall of Fame will host its Class of 2024 Announcement Party & Dinner from 3-5 PM, also at the Whiteface Club and Resort. Tickets are $75 per person which includes heavy appetizers, soft drinks, and a cash bar for alcoholic beverages. There will be giveaways and a presentation at 5 PM to announce the upcoming Class of 2024!

The Snowsport History Celebration and Induction Ceremony will be held in Lake Placid, New York on the Miracle on Ice Rink on Saturday, March 29th, 2025. Tickets and further information will be announced soon.
