David R.C. "Darcy" Brown is a true patriarch of Colorado skiing. He played a pivotal role in the development of Aspen as a major destination resort earning a reputation for being one of the best professional ski area managers. His love for the sport continued until the age of 90 when he decided to take his last run at Aspen. He was one of the founders of the National Ski Areas Association and played an influential role in the American ski resort industry. He set and held high standards and was widely respected as a highly skilled stalwart executive.
