Sigfried Steinwall was a four time winner of the Holmenkollen tournament and enjoyed a 60 year skiing career.  He was a lifetime member of the Swedish Ski Club of New York City.  After immigrating to the United States he was a top amateur ski jumper in the 1920's.

He served for two years as the ski sports instructor at Dartmouth College (1927 and 1928).  During his life he made over 1,000 exhibition jumps.  His motto was "Skiing for Everybody."
