Ernest Perderson was a great four event skier and enjoyed much success as a ski jumper in the 1920's  He won many titles including the national intercollegiate ski jumping title in 1929.

He was a member of the famous 10th Mountain Division serving as Regimental Director of the 87th Mountain Infantry Ski School.  He saw action in Europe and remained in the army, retiring as a Colonel in 1967.
