Jannette Burr Johnson

Jannette Burr Johnson was a highly competitive and fearless ski racer in the immediate post World War Two period.  She won races throughout the country but the highlight would be her winning the North American downhill title in Banff, Canada in 1950 and the national downhill title that same year.  She also finished second in the combined that year.  In 1951 and 1952 she won several races in Europe and was America's only medal winner with a bronze in the giant slalom at the 1954 FIS championships.

A resident of Sun Valley, ID she was actress Lucille Ball's double in the film "Lucy Goes to Sun Valley."
